Unfortunately, I think Janice Kapp Perry was responsible for more children's songs than Steven was. Maybe I'll have to take a gander at "From Cumorah's Hill" next time I'm in a Joseph Ducreux kind of mood!
I doubt he wrote any of them, but Steven Kapp Perry does host the cheesy LDS music show on FM 100 (FM100.com also) in Salt Lake City all day every Sunday called Soft Sunday Sounds.
What's also strange is he would rather go with the middle name, to show off his LDS Music heritage, than go with the name Steve Perry after one of the greatest rock singers of all time.
