This chapter comes to us in a total of two verses. Here's the skinny on this gaunt entry in the Book of Mormon:
Repent and be baptized.
Apparently it was really important for the ancient prophets to painstakingly preserve a somewhat lengthy but mostly non-specific list of sins that must be repented of. Instead of, you know, paring it down to the essentials. When God says "repent" in the scriptures, we kind of already know what kinds of things he wants us to stop doing. But sure, let's slave away etching superfluous lists of possible offenses into metal plates.
It's also worth pointing out that several of these sins can be considered characteristic of the present-day church, such as lyings and deceivings, secret abominations, and, of course, priestcrafts.
